'Tis The Season of Giving

Doing the most good® is the sole purpose of The Salvation Army. Founded by William Booth in 1865, The Salvation Army continues to provide assistance to 130 countries worldwide. In a recent article they were ranked No. 2 for “America’s Favorite Charities” by The Chronicle of Philanthropy. In 2017, The Salvation Army served 52,259,152 meals to the hungry and collected over $2 million in donations.

During the holidays, The Salvation Army strives to keep hope and joy alive for families all across America. In order to help others in time of need, The Salvation Army provides the following wonderful services during the holidays: Angel Tree program, grocery and food assistance, bill-pay assistance, and holiday events.

The Angel Tree program provides donated clothes and toys to children in need to give them a Christmas to remember. The grocery and food assistance program is when The Salvation Army delivers Christmas dinners and stocks food pantries throughout the country. This supports millions of Americans who may be struggling to provide meals during the holidays. Bill-pay assistance helps families stay on top of their bills so it does not become a burden and they are able to still celebrate Christmas.

At Cawley Chicago, we believe in helping others and giving back whenever possible. We are very happy to have participated in the Angel Tree program this year and provide presents under the Christmas tree for these well deserving children. While we are thankful for what we have, there are always opportunities to help others in need.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
